Pneumonia- In hospital

Very very sick.

I’m rather slow in posting my books here. I am really sorry for everything. Life has been pretty roller coster, and now ended up in hospital.

My son is admited to hospital for pneumonia. I will be away from the net for 2 weeks, in fact was away since the last post.

We haden’t stop our reading even in hospital. Suprisingly, there were loads of new books in hospital library. We had read some really nice book, from scholistic. The books that is hard to get from local bookstore. (These were meant for schools and bookclub.)

Well, I had to pen here. God bless us.

Bibble for children writer and illustrator enthusiast !

I’ve recently came across an interesting children picture book. Not the normal fantasy, heavy illustrated picture book. Infact, the first time I looked at this book. I thought it was about learning shapes. Well, I am wrong!

A journey into writting and drawing.

This book is more than shapes. Thought it is written in simple text, it is not meant for kids.

OMG ! This is a wonderful bible for children writer and illustrator enthusiast!

A journey into writing and drawing. I’ve should have seen this in the first place.  Lucky, this book still caught my attention. When I flip through, I was glued by the informative and yet simple tell-me-how.

Thanks to Sheila Dhir for given me the pleasure to read this book before the book launch. My honor indeed.

Now let us take a peek inside this book~

MoonBird - A heart melting story specially for the deaf

An excellent book to share with your child. Silent world is after all as beautiful as ours!

moonbird

Watching MoonBird show marvelously done by I Theater. I was overwhelm. Firstly, because I had just attended the talk by MoonBird’s creator Joyce Dunbar and was inspired. Secondly, knowing myself, that will never understand fully by just reading through on my own.

This MoonBird picture book is indeed talking about the deaf. Joyce and Jane had crafted this in such a beautiful manner one will forget where they are. We were drifted into the fairy tale of a magical world where deaf is no longer a handicap but a wise being.

In reality, we always assume deaf is a disability. Like the word in Malay ” orang kurang upaya” which means -people that need help. We could just try to understand them instead of blindly helping them. Deaf people can do wonders! Look at our write Joyce Dunbar, she does wonders in her writing. She opens our heart, she make us cry, laugh and wonder. More example, Ganville Redmond, the famous American artist whose work was collected by many, Douglas Tilden, the Famous sculptor who sometimes refered to as the “Michelangelo of the west”… many more.
